Traveling Construction Superintendent

This is a full-time nationwide traveling position. Candidates may be based anywhere in the U.S. Our client is a well-established Chicago-based commercial general contractor seeking an experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to support projects across the United States. This is a true traveling role supporting primarily big box retail renovations, with some ground-up work as well. This position is ideal for a Superintendent who thrives on the road, enjoys fast-paced retail environments, and takes pride in delivering clean, well-coordinated projects. Key Responsibilities

Manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout Lead subcontractors, coordinate schedules, and ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards Oversee primarily

big box retail renovation projects

(open-store and closed-store environments) Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety requirements Conduct daily site walks, progress reporting, and coordination with project management Maintain jobsite documentation, schedules, and inspections Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for field operations Required Experience

Proven Superintendent experience on big box retail projects, such as: Sam’s Club Costco Strong background in

renovation / remodel projects Ground-up retail experience

is a plus and will be considered Ability to manage fast-track schedules and multiple trades Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills Travel Requirements

100% nationwide travel Home
