The Sales Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for managing a small sales team (2–3 direct reports) while actively selling both by phone and in the field. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a strong background in ecommerce, technology, or service-based sales who can immediately leverage an existing book of business and drive results. Key Responsibilities
Manage, coach, and motivate a team of 2–3 sales representatives to meet or exceed performance targets Develop and execute sales strategies across SMBs, professional offices (law firms, medical practices), educational institutions, and government accounts Actively sell to new and existing customers through phone outreach and in-person field visits Leverage an existing book of business to generate immediate revenue Track sales performance metrics and provide actionable insights to improve team results Collaborate with marketing and product teams to support campaigns, promotions, and new offerings Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills 2–3+ years of experience as a Sales Manager with direct people management responsibility Hands-on selling experience in ecommerce, technology, or service-oriented industries Proven success selling into SMBs, professional offices (law and medical), education, and/or government sectors Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team of at least 2–3 sales professionals Experience leading both inside (phone-based) and outside (field) sales efforts Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Ability to leverage an existing book of business to generate immediate sales Preferred Qualifications
