
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Specialist for an exciting career opportunity in the Birmingham, AL area!

The HR Specialist will play a vital part in supporting the company Human Resources functions. This is an associate-level position which requires a collaborative mindset and a willingness to take on a variety of projects as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the onboarding process for new hires, including documentation, system setup, and orientation coordination
Manage offboarding procedures, including final pay, benefits wrap-up, and exit documentation
Facilitate benefits enrollment and respond to employee benefit inquiries
Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in the payroll systems
Serve as a liaison between hiring managers and DOT consultants to ensure the proper paperwork is completed to ensure DOT compliance.
Work closely with the accounting team to validate payroll general ledger account balances each month
Collaborating with other departments on cross-functional projects and HR initiatives
Qualifications:
Prior experience in human resources is a PLUS
Proficiency in payroll software systems, ADP Workforce Now, is a PLUS
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Team-oriented with a flexible, can-do attitude and strong interpersonal skills
Must have advanced skills with Microsoft 365, with strong knowledge of Excel
