Position Overview Fund Lifecycle Specialists manage and coordinate key operational, regulatory, and structural activities across the entire lifecycle of investment funds. This includes fund setup and launch, ongoing maintenance and change management, and fund restructuring or termination.
The role requires close collaboration with investment teams, operations, compliance, legal, finance, and technology, as well as external service providers such as fund administrators, auditors, legal counsel, custodians, and prime brokers.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee fund activities across the full lifecycle, including setup, launch, ongoing operations, amendments, restructurings, and wind-downs
Coordinate fund onboarding, documentation, and regulatory filings in partnership with legal and compliance teams
Manage operational changes such as strategy updates, fee changes, service provider transitions, and system enhancements
Serve as a central point of contact for internal teams and external service providers regarding fund-related matters
Ensure accurate setup and ongoing maintenance of fund data across accounting, trading, reporting, and investor systems
Monitor lifecycle-related risks, controls, and operational dependencies
Maintain detailed lifecycle documentation, timelines, and governance records
Support audits, regulatory exams, and internal reviews related to fund operations
Prepare lifecycle status updates, impact assessments, and reports for senior management
Identify opportunities to improve lifecycle workflows, controls, and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
Solid understanding of investment fund structures and asset management operations
Experience or exposure to fund operations, fund administration, compliance, or lifecycle management (preferred but not required)
Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple fund-related initiatives simultaneously
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with fund accounting systems, reporting platforms, or workflow tools is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, regulated environments
Comfort working with senior internal stakeholders and external partners
Strong interest in asset management, fund operations, and regulatory processes
