Description

Conduct evaluations for patients in inpatient or outpatient settings and formulate tailored treatment strategies

Implement physical therapy procedures designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality

Work alongside nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehab professionals for optimized patient outcomes

Educate patients and their families about therapeutic objectives, discharge planning, and at‑home exercises

Document patient evaluations, therapy interventions, and progress following facility and regulatory standards

Engage in care team rounds and interdisciplinary discussions to ensure seamless patient care

Education

Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution

Certifications

Licensed as a

Physical Therapist

in the state

CPR certification is recommended

Specialty certifications (e.g., in neurology, geriatrics) are advantageous but not mandatory

Skills

Previous clinical experience is strongly preferred

Ability to support patients with complex medical and movement challenges

Exceptional communication and collaborative skills

Proficient in digital charting and clinical documentation
