Position Summary The Tax Analyst supports corporate tax compliance activities with a primary focus on tax return preparation and the calculation of consolidated book-to-tax differences. This role contributes to federal, state, and local tax compliance efforts and supports audits, tax research, and special projects as needed. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in corporate or public accounting tax work and thrives in a collaborative, professional corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns
Calculate and prepare consolidated book-to-tax differences for tax compliance
Support a variety of tax compliance and audit activities, including:
Federal, state, and local income taxes
Sales/use, excise, and property taxes
Assist with tax account reconciliations across multiple corporate tax types
Respond to tax notices from various taxing authorities
Support special tax projects as needed, which may include:
Tax research
Tax forecasting and analysis
Fixed asset accounting
State apportionment
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Recent experience in corporate tax or public accounting
Hands-on experience with tax preparation software (CorpTax preferred)
Experience using tax research tools (RIA or CCH preferred)
Minimum Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or a related field
Onsite corporate office environment with an open-air desk layout
