Job Title Property Manager, Multifamily

Job Description Summary Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our communities to a market‑ready standard, always ensuring a high level of service. They also motivate high‑performing teams to maximize property performance.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the smooth running of our community in a fast‑paced environment. Oversee all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.

Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability. Complete lease/renewal paperwork to meet company standards.

Track and evaluate advertising and all client traffic.

Develop, mentor, lead, and manage a high‑performing, cohesive team—including leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management personnel—to maximize engagement and minimize turnover.

Drive revenues with a thorough understanding and analysis of competition, development, and the creation of innovative marketing programs.

Lead by example, instilling, maintaining, and modeling Cushman & Wakefield’s mission to be the best national management company.

Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the entire on‑site team, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.

Maintain effective on‑site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching as necessary.

Maintain residents’ files in accordance with company standards.

Maintain a positive living environment for community residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow‑up.

Manage and maintain all aspects of the overall community budget and finances.

Work with leasing staff to ensure leasing/marketing goals are met.

Competencies

Effective communication and customer service skills.

Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills.

General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills with excellent oral and written communication.

Determine leasing opportunities for staff and work on goal setting to improve performance.

Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the team, ensuring C&W policies and procedures are followed.

Work with leasing staff to ensure leasing/marketing goals are met.

Ability to manage a team.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Education and Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Real Estate License preferred.

Experience:

3+ years of Property Management experience; 3+ years of Management experience.

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Regular travel is required.

Physical Demands Stand and walk for extended periods; ascend/descend stairs, ladders, or step stools; travel between buildings in varying weather conditions; spend approximately 85% of time in a stationary position; operate office machinery; travel up to 15% of the time; lift or carry up to 25 pounds occasionally or frequently or constantly.

Compensation Compensation will be $63,750.00 - $75,000.00, dependent on location, experience, and qualifications. The company will not pay less than minimum wage.
