Area Manager – CEE
to join our International Commercial team. This is a highly strategic role where you’ll be the main point of contact for multiple distributor partners across the Central and Eastern Europe region. Operating in diverse markets, you will manage and influence distributor relationships, drive product launches, and ensure commercial success — all while working collaboratively with internal teams such as regulatory, safety, and quality. The position is fully remote and requires a self-sustained, entrepreneurial professional who can set goals, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results across eight to ten active countries. What You’ll Do Manage and develop strong relationships with distributor partners across the CEE region. Lead and support new product launches and acquisitions, ensuring launch excellence and alignment with corporate KPIs. Negotiate and challenge distributor commercial and marketing plans to optimize value, price, and margin. Monitor and report on distributor performance, taking corrective actions where required. Collaborate with internal functions (regulatory, safety, quality, commercial support) to address distributor needs and ensure compliance. Identify and implement value growth opportunities such as pricing strategies, tender execution, and portfolio rationalization. Provide market insights including pricing, reimbursement, tenders, and competitor activity. Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the region. About You We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference to patients’ lives. For this role, you will also have the following: Qualifications: University degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline. (preferred) Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required: Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with the majority of experience focused on Rx pharmaceutical products, ideally including biosimilars. Hands-on commercial experience across Central & Eastern Europe (CEE), with time spent actively managing business in multiple CEE countries. Direct P&L ownership and accountability at country, cluster, or regional level. Proven experience managing full-service pharmaceutical distributors, including performance management, contract negotiation, forecasting, and governance. Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry dynamics: regulation, pricing & reimbursement, compliance, sales, and marketing. Demonstrated commercial acumen, including sales excellence, negotiation, and value creation through distributor partnerships. High levels of personal drive, resilience, and adaptability, with the ability to operate independently in a remote, international role. Strong project management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple markets and a diverse product portfolio simultaneously. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across cultures and geographies. Fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential. Nice to Have: Experience supporting or leading product launches. Prior exposure to biosimilar portfolios. Additional CEE language skills. Why ADVANZ PHARMA?
