Position Purpose:
As a Sales and Customer Engagement Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service by proactively engaging with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored assistance. Utilize our tools to gain insights into products and guide customers through their project endeavors. In this role, you will learn essential skills such as greeting customers, qualifying their needs, recommending appropriate products, and successfully closing sales. You will also gain knowledge about adjacent departments to support customer inquiries and needs across the store. Your responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and organization of assigned areas, ensuring a safe and inviting shopping environment, and promptly addressing any safety concerns. You will work collaboratively with your Department Supervisor and fellow associates to create a positive shopping experience. Our diverse store departments offer opportunities to engage with customers in areas such as Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental. Position types may include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.
