What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Perform various collection activities, including making collection calls and negotiating payment plans
Provide customer service regarding collections issues and process account adjustments
Gather and analyze collections data for reporting to management
Assist in designing and implementing collection strategies and workflows
Mentor team members and support supervisors during absences
What is Required (Qualifications)
High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
Minimum of 5+ years of directly related experience
Demonstrated leadership experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong negotiation abilities
In-depth knowledge of billing procedures, collections techniques, and accounts receivable
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with mainframe systems such as Oracle or other operating systems
Strong knowledge of state and federal Fair Debt Collections Laws and bankruptcy procedures
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities
