Purchasing Specialist
for a growing client in
Indianapolis, IN . This is a
fully onsite, direct hire
role offering strong stability, vendor partnership, and hands-on involvement in sourcing and purchasing operations.
Key Responsibilities: • Source and purchase raw materials • Create, approve, and confirm purchase orders • Expedite open POs to support sales and work orders • Build and maintain vendor relationships • Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues • Identify and implement costsaving opportunities • Review hot list materials twice weekly • Review inventory control lists for needed items • Assist Production Manager with price and contract negotiations • Review technical specifications for raw materials and components • Evaluate quotations for accuracy • Prepare purchase requisitions and issue POs following company policy • Maintain accurate procurement records • Track purchasing activity and vendor performance metrics
Preferred Experience: • Materials management • Sourcing and purchasing • Vendor management • Production or manufacturing environment exposure
Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000 annually, based on experience
Pay Details:
$65,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
