
Regional Commercial Leader - Americas

Responsible for maintaining and developing the chosen markets with TSRC customers in the Americas region as well as overseeing the work of regional sales and customer service teams. Manages sales, marketing, and customer service in the Americas region. Reports directly to the TSRC Specialty Materials President and General Manager and Advanced Materials Division "AMD" Global Commercial Leader.
Essential Job Functions:
Execute the annual sales plan and lead the Americas sales team in order to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed sales goals
Maintain excellent relationship with TSRC customers based in Americas region
Manage sales and customer service teams to be “One TSRC”
Identify new opportunities for client development
Work with TSRC global marketing team to execute strategy
Establish marketing venues to enhance and maintain TSRC’s brand identity in Americas region
Evaluate needs in the market for new products and/or services and communicate these to management
Interface with AMD Global Commercial Leader and AMD BU to communicate needs and developments of the sales organization.
Work on other projects that may be identified and assigned by management
Experience/Education Requirements:
10 + years of experience in chemical industry – manufacturing, technology, product management, customer service and/ or sales
B.S. in chemical, engineering and/or other appropriate education or experience.
5+ years of supervisory experience of sales, customer service and/or technical personnel
In-depth knowledge of polymer and/or rubber business, and the applications and major markets of the business.
Team player with pro-active, problem-solving attitude
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while covering key customers with global operations
Ability to influence and negotiate with others and the ability to close a sale; ability to successfully handle social as well as business interactions with all levels of customers’ personnel; sufficient diplomacy skills
Excellent English communications skills, oral and written
Experience working with a global organization in harmony and team player
Good skills working with Microsoft Office type software, CRM and other software packages as needed
Extensive travel domestically and internationally is required
