About the Role Our established downtown San Diego law firm is seeking an experienced and highly organized Legal Assistant to provide dedicated support to a senior real estate partner with a fast‑paced and rapidly growing transactional practice.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage a significant volume of work efficiently. Our senior partner consistently maintains a billable workload exceeding 300 hours per month, so the ability to prioritize, anticipate needs, and stay ahead of deadlines is essential.

Key Responsibilities
Provide dedicated 1:1 administrative and transactional support to a senior real estate partner.
Manage attorney time entries and billing processes using 3E Elite.
Handle non‑billable administrative duties, including scheduling, document organization, and correspondence.
Work with common commercial real estate forms and systems (AIA, AIR, CAR).
Prepare and submit conflict checks; open new matters; draft engagement agreements and conflict waiver letters.
Assist with commercial real estate and corporate transactions by organizing closing deliverables and preparing comprehensive closing binders.
Order lien, UCC, and litigation searches to support due diligence.
Draft, redline, review, and revise leases, purchase and sale agreements, and other transactional documents.
Manage entity formations and compliance for corporations, LLCs, and limited partnerships, including:
Organizational documents
Statements of information
Notices of transaction
EIN applications
Annual reports & franchise tax filings
Coordinate with state agencies and service companies to obtain Certificates of Formation and Certificates of Good Standing across multiple jurisdictions.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as a transactional legal assistant.
Strong administrative and technical skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience supporting real estate development, acquisitions, and transactional matters.
Exceptional word processing and proofreading skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Tech‑savvy and comfortable using AIA, AIR, and CAR platforms.
