Job Summary

The Strategy Implementation Specialist

plays an important role in supporting the execution of HMHI’s strategic priorities. Reporting to the Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives & Project Management Office, this position helps ensure initiatives move from planning into execution by working closely with initiative owners, supporting follow-through between established check-ins, and maintaining clear visibility into progress.

The Strategy Implementation Specialist partners with initiative owners on day-to-day implementation needs, helping track progress, surface dependencies, and prepare updates that support effective leadership conversations. This role reinforces alignment, readiness, and momentum across the strategy implementation process, while engagement with focus area sponsors and leads continues through existing leadership meetings and structures.

This role is a key member of the strategy implementation team and contributes directly to HMHI’s ability to translate strategic priorities into sustained, coordinated action.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Work closely with initiative owners to support implementation activities and follow-through between established strategy check-ins.

Support initiative progression from planning into execution by coordinating updates, timelines, and readiness.

Track initiative status, dependencies, and risks, and follow up with initiative owners to support steady momentum.

Prepare summaries, materials, and updates to support leadership check-ins and ongoing strategy discussions.

Maintain and update strategy implementation tools, including initiative trackers, dashboards, charters, timelines, and action logs.

Document outcomes, decisions, and action items from strategy implementation discussions and support clear communication across stakeholders.

Surface cross-initiative considerations to inform leadership discussion and alignment.

Recommend and support refinements to coordination approaches and tools to strengthen strategy implementation over time.

Strategy Implementation Specialist, II

This position will utilize a strong understanding of business process analysis, workforce planning, and operational reviews. Collaborate across teams throughout the strategic planning process. Requires moderate skill set and proficiency in discipline. Conduct work assignments of increasing complexity, under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment.

Expected Pay Range: $62,993 – $77,167

Strategy Implementation Specialist, III

This position will utilize a strong understanding of business process analysis, workforce planning, and operational reviews. Collaborate across teams throughout the strategic planning process. Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline. Conduct complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment.

Expected Pay Range: $83,844 – $102,709

Minimum Qualifications

EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT :

1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).

Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:

Strategy Implementation Specialist, II:

Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.

Strategy Implementation Specialist, III :

Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
