What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the U-Haul center
Utilize smartphone-based U-Scan technology for managing rentals and inventory
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers, ensuring proper equipment handling
Clean and inspect equipment, checking fluid levels as necessary
Prepare rental invoices and accept returned equipment, providing excellent customer service
What is Required (Qualifications):
Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
Willingness to follow safety precautions while working around moving parts and chemicals
Availability to participate in ongoing education programs offered by U-Haul
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Previous experience in customer service or a related field
Familiarity with rental equipment and services
Basic mechanical skills or experience with vehicle maintenance
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Willingness to obtain certifications for filling propane and driving a forklift
