What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the U-Haul center
Utilize smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers, and clean and inspect equipment on the lot
Prepare rental invoices and handle returned equipment
Participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University
What is Required (Qualifications):
Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to meet physical demands including moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
Willingness to follow safety precautions when working around moving parts or machines
Ability to work in various environments, both indoors and outdoors
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience in customer service or a related field
Familiarity with equipment maintenance or rental services
Certification or willingness to obtain certification for filling propane and driving a forklift
Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technology and processes
