What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

Write, edit, and publish a high volume of news and culture content daily

Collaborate closely with editorial, audio, and social teams for cohesive coverage

Identify and elevate emerging stories relevant to Black audiences

Publish and promote content across social platforms while adhering to best practices

Monitor performance and audience response to inform editorial decisions

What is Required (Qualifications):

1-3 years of experience in digital journalism, web producing, or content creation

Strong writing and editing skills with sound editorial judgment

Familiarity with CMS publishing tools and basic image editing software

Working knowledge of SEO, tagging, and content optimization best practices

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field is preferred

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

Proven experience writing and editing online content, including articles and social media copy

A genuine love of news, current events, and cultural conversations

Experience publishing content on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and X

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

A multimedia‑first mindset with an understanding of journalism across various platforms
