Under the direction of the PDE Manager (Information Officer II), the Publications Analyst (Analyst II) is responsible for project analysis, development, and coordination and tracking duties, including helping to oversee DCA’s document translations contract and the Department’s Forms Management Program (FMP). The role is expected to create, improve, and maintain systems for tracking PDE’s work streams, along with assisting in other administrative duties such as billing and reimbursements. This role additionally supports in the editing and writing of PDE‑designed publications and other Communications Division‑created content.
Working Conditions Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview. However, they must reside in the State of California once they are hired and start working.
The incumbent works 40 hours per week in an office setting, with artificial light and temperature control. Daily access to and use of a personal computer and telephone is essential. Requirements to remain in a stationary position are consistent with office work. Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), reaching, climbing, and bending is required. The incumbent must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets and office machinery and must also move to different floors of the building or traverse the parking lot to make deliveries at other office locations.
