Role Summary This is a field-based role covering the western United States. Candidates do not need to reside in the posted city or state; major hub locations for this position include Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Denver, Utah, and Southern California.

Responsibilities

Primary objective is to meet or exceed assigned sales goals defined in terms of units and/or sales dollars consistent with the approved business operating plans. Additionally, the Regional Sales Director will successfully oversee expenditures at the regional level required to meet all fiscal responsibilities pertaining to the IG Business.

Direct the sales strategy, planning, and execution for field-based team by driving agreed upon sales targets and long‑term goals and objectives. Continue to position AbbVie as a market leader and solution‑provider across the stakeholder base.

Demonstrates the ability to understand and execute marketing plans which drive results.

Clearly demonstrate Implementation of strategies that allows for execution on clear priorities which lead to results without unnecessary complexities.

Drive and position AbbVie in high growth. Determine franchise logical strategic next steps and deliver financial results in both top and relevant bottom‑lines.

Ensure all facets of the external market, segment and internal enterprise are considered in the strategy and plan setting.

Exhibit intense deep and broad market knowledge across the Surgical/Interventional Glaucoma sector, geography and franchise(s), including Key Managed Care and Payer dynamics. Share and provide quantitative and qualitative business acumen and analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.

Successful Sales Management and positive track record of leading teams in the Surgical Industry.

Successful history of success as a leader in surgical environment demonstrated through knowledge, execution, operations of Surgical centers in HOPD and ASC environment.

Commercial pharmaceutical, medical, and surgical industry experiences such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care and marketing.

Ability to set a vision and a strategy.

Build and inspire individuals and teams for success.

Experience with project management.

Demonstrated ability to network and partner effectively across functional areas.

An essential requirement of your position is to satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations that are in your assigned territory. You must also be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials.

Education

Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
