What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the U-Haul center

Utilize smartphone-based U-Scan technology for managing rentals and inventory

Clean, inspect, and maintain rental equipment, ensuring it meets quality standards

Prepare rental invoices and handle returned equipment

Participate in ongoing training through U-Haul University to enhance skills and knowledge

What is Required (Qualifications)

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record

Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs

Willingness to work in environments with moderate risks or discomforts

Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Experience in a customer service role, particularly in the moving or transportation industry

Familiarity with safety protocols related to equipment operation and maintenance

Previous experience using technology for inventory and rental management

Certification or training in forklift operation or similar equipment handling

Positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment
