
Construction Superintendent – Self-Storage

We are seeking an experienced
Construction Superintendent
to oversee
self-storage construction projects
in the Los Angeles market. This position is responsible for managing all on-site activities from mobilization through project closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who understands the unique requirements of
self-storage facilities , including structural systems, MEP coordination, tenant improvements, and operational layouts.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all day-to-day field operations for assigned projects
Manage subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
Oversee ground-up and renovation self-storage construction
Maintain project schedules and coordinate trade sequencing
Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards
Conduct daily jobsite meetings and safety briefings
Coordinate inspections with city officials and third-party inspectors
Ensure work is performed in compliance with plans and specifications
Track project progress and provide updates to Project Management
Manage material deliveries, logistics, and site access
Maintain accurate daily reports, schedules, and documentation
Identify and resolve field issues proactively
Support project closeout including punch list, inspections, and turnover
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
Direct experience with self-storage or storage facility projects required
Strong background in commercial construction
Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and project phases
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Proficient with jobsite documentation and reporting
