Sales Engineer (Remote) Articulated Arm Measurement Systems Location: Remote (U.S. – South East United States) Reports to: Regional Sales Manager
About the Role We are seeking a technically strong, customer-focused Sales Engineer to support the sale of articulated arm portable measurement systems into manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, energy, and precision engineering markets.
This role combines technical expertise with consultative selling. You will partner closely with Regional Sales Managers to demonstrate solutions, support complex evaluations, and help customers solve real-world measurement and quality challenges.
The ideal candidate understands manufacturing environments and enjoys translating technical capabilities into measurable business value.

Job Responsibilities What You’ll Do
Driving revenue growth for articulated arm systems
Deliver technical product demonstrations (remote and onsite)
Conduct application assessments and feasibility studies
Consult with quality managers, engineers, and manufacturing leaders to identify measurement challenges
Recommend tailored hardware and software solutions
Assist with proof-of-concept projects and customer evaluations
Provide pre-sale technical expertise during RFP and bid processes
Collaborate with applications, service, and product teams to ensure smooth handoffs
Support trade shows, customer events, and training sessions
Maintain detailed opportunity notes and technical documentation in CRM
Qualifications What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in metrology, quality inspection, or manufacturing technology
Hands-on experience with articulated arms, CMMs, 3D scanning, or similar inspection equipment
Strong understanding of GD&T and dimensional inspection processes
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
Excellent presentation and demonstration skills
Willingness to travel within assigned region (40–60%)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting or selling portable metrology systems
Familiarity with metrology software platforms and CAD environments
Background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field
Experience working in aerospace, automotive, or heavy industry
