We are partnering with an Automotive Chemical company seeking to add a Japanese bilingual account manager to their team. The account manager would oversee the Japanese automotive accounts with some travel required to client sites.

Full-Time, Direct Hire, Exempt Location: Taylor MI (25% travel to customer sites) Salary:
$120.000~$150,000 Depending on candidate experience
Key Responsibilities Manage relationships with Japanese automotive OEM customers, understanding their business culture and technical expectations Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales and profit growth Lead customer meetings, presentations, and business reviews Collaborate with suppliers, internal teams, and global stakeholders to align on requirements and approvals Support project and technical teams; provide guidance and coaching as needed Ensure compliance with automotive processes (PPAP, APQP) and oversee customer issue resolution Track KPIs, maintain customer records, and prepare reports Uphold company safety, quality, and environmental policies
Qualifications Japanese bilingual language ability Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field 5+ years in technical sales or account management, ideally in automotive Proven success managing complex accounts and projects Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Experience with industrial or automotive materials and processes Proficient in Microsoft Office; project management experience a plus
