Overview: Our client, a highly regarded General Contractor, is seeking a Lead Estimator with extensive preconstruction expertise to spearhead a variety of commercial ground-up construction projects. Key Responsibilities:
Guide the preconstruction and estimating processes for commercial ground-up projects.
Craft comprehensive cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals.
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and scope reviews from conceptual through GMP/CD phases.
Collaborate effectively with teams in preconstruction, operations, project management, and subcontractors.
Assess subcontractor bids to ensure accurate leveling and scope alignment.
Provide valuable engineering insights and recommend cost-saving strategies.
Ensure seamless project transitions from preconstruction to operations.
Maintain precise historical cost data and remain informed about market pricing.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of estimating and preconstruction experience within a General Contractor setting.
Strong background in commercial ground-up construction projects.
In-depth understanding of the complete preconstruction lifecycle.
Documented history of job stability and tenure with previous employers.
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.
Experience working on various project types and scales.
Willingness to operate from any office location in Montana as necessary.
