Lead Fulfillment Associate
Lead Fulfillment Associates play a key role in supporting the operations team and associates to achieve strong results within Amazon fulfillment centers. They may serve as trainers, process assistants, shipping clerks, or in other production roles – all while ensuring safety, inventory accuracy and effective communication.
Role Types
ISS Representative: Responsible for maintaining the link between Corporate Retail Teams and the fulfillment center, reporting and re‑escalating tickets, and resolving items that cannot be received under normal conditions. Process Assistant: Helps manage daily department duties, allocates labor, leads meetings, assigns job duties, communicates with suppliers, escalates barriers, and executes standard work in safety, quality and productivity. Dock Clerk: Manages inbound flow, schedules appointments, communicates with carriers and management, plans inbound arrivals, ensures carrier compliance, manages buffers and leads dock personnel. Receiving Clerk: Schedules inbound deliveries using Advance Ship Notices, communicates with carriers, maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of appointments, monitors releases, trains backup clerks. Shipping Clerk: Corresponds with multiple shipping companies, uses their software to ship and track packages, coordinates trailers to dock doors and cross docks, and ensures proper processes under the Trailer Dock Release program. Non‑Inventory Receive Clerk: Works with Procurement to administer flow of non‑inventory goods, organizes supplies, corrugates, tracks missing shipments, stages product, operates PIT equipment and tracks goods on the computer. Regulated Waste Coordinator: Leads the waste program, manages hazardous waste disposal or resales in compliance with federal, state and local regulations, and collaborates with Operations and EHS teams for oversight. Amazon Robotics (AR) Quarterback: Monitors overall floor health of the robotic field, dispatches work for Amnesty Floor Monitors, coordinates with learning, RME and operations teams using real‑time data, and drives standard work practices. Floor Health Monitor: Performs tasks on the robotic floor such as restarting drives or providing amnesty processing assistance to station associates. Data Analyst: Provides data and analytical support for ACES initiatives, root‑cause investigation of defects, and compliance with ICQA‑related SoX requirements. Basic Qualifications
1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Flexible schedule – able to work weekends, nights, holidays, and shift work. Able to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach. Work 40 hours per week, with overtime as required. Be 18 years of age or older. Preferred Qualifications
Completed Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree. 1+ year of leadership experience directly managing others. 1+ year working in a similar environment (manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, large retail). Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement. Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members. Location: USA, CA, Hollister – $26.00/hr. Compensation includes base pay plus the highest available shift differential depending on selected shift.
