Lead Fulfillment Associate

Overview Amazon’s operations team is seeking Lead Fulfillment Associates to help support operations leaders and associates in delivering strong operational results within our fulfillment centers. These associates will help train staff, assist with process improvement, and handle various production duties such as picking, packing, receiving, and loading/unloading.

Role Summary Lead Fulfillment Associates work in a variety of roles within the Fulfillment Center:

Trainer – develop and maintain knowledge of standard work.

Process Assistant – allocate labor, lead meetings, assign duties, and surface operational barriers.

Dock Clerk – schedule inbound deliveries, manage carrier compliance, and lead dock personnel.

Shipping Clerk – coordinate with shipping companies, track packages, and ensure trailer dock release processes.

Non-Inventory Receive Clerk – manage non‑inventory goods flow and coordinate with procurement.

Regulated Waste Coordinator – lead the waste program ensuring regulatory compliance.

Amazon Robotics Quarterback – control robotic floor safety and dispatch, tracking metrics.

Floor Health Monitor – resolve issues on the robotics floor and assist associates.

Data Analyst – provide analytics support for quality initiatives and root‑cause investigations.

Additional responsibilities across all roles include:

Communicating instructions and motivating associates.

Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring inventory accuracy.

Performing production tasks as needed (pick/pack, receive/stow, unload/load).

Basic Qualifications

1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office products.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for up to 12 hours.

Work 40 hours/week with overtime as required.

18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.

1+ year of leadership experience managing others.

1+ year of experience in a similar environment (manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, large retail).

Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coaching and training team members.

The starting pay for this position is 23.00 – 25.00 USD hourly, plus shift differentials. You are eligible for overtime pay, performance bonuses, and benefits.
