Softline Solutions is a full-service digital marketing agency based in Southern California that helps businesses grow online by increasing visibility, generating leads, and boosting sales. They build tailored, data-driven campaigns across key digital channels and manage everything from strategy to execution and reporting. The goal is measurable growth, not buzzwords.
About the role We’re looking for a strategic, hands‑on Senior Director of Lifecycle Marketing to lead and scale our email and SMS marketing programs across our portfolio of brands. This is a senior leadership role for a lifecycle expert who can own vision and execution, build high‑performing teams, and drive measurable impact across the customer journey.
Reporting into the VP of Brand Marketing, this role will set the lifecycle strategy across brands while also managing the centralized functions that support execution, including email development, QA, and technical operations. You’ll balance big‑picture thinking with deep channel expertise, ensuring lifecycle marketing is a growth engine—not a support function.
The ideal candidate brings an agency or multi‑brand background, thrives in fast‑paced environments, and knows how to turn audience insights into revenue‑driving programs at scale.
What you’ll do
Own the lifecycle marketing strategy across multiple brands, with full responsibility for email and SMS performance
Set the vision for customer journeys, including acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, and reactivation
Lead and develop a team of lifecycle leaders and supporting functions, including email developers, QA specialists, and technical partners.
Establish best practices for segmentation, personalization, experimentation, and deliverability
Partner closely with relevant brand partners, Performance, Creative, and Data teams to ensure lifecycle programs are aligned with broader growth goals
Oversee roadmap planning, prioritization, and resourcing across brands
Define KPIs and performance frameworks; use data to optimize programs and communicate impact to senior stakeholders
Evaluate and evolve lifecycle tools, platforms, and processes as the organization scales
Act as the senior escalation point for complex lifecycle challenges, from technical issues to strategic tradeoffs
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, or retention marketing, with deep expertise in email and SMS
Proven experience leading lifecycle strategy across multiple brands or business lines
Strong people leadership experience, including managing managers and specialized functions
Agency or high‑growth, multi‑brand environment experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to scale lifecycle programs that drive measurable revenue and customer value
Deep understanding of customer data, segmentation strategies, and lifecycle analytics
Comfortable operating at both strategic and executional levels
A collaborative leader who can influence cross‑functional partners and senior stakeholders
Why Join Us
Own lifecycle marketing at meaningful scale across multiple brands
Lead and shape a growing team with real influence on growth strategy
Operate in an agency‑style environment that values speed, testing, and impact
Partner closely with senior leadership and help define how lifecycle drives the business forward
The pay range for this role is:
205,000 - 245,000 USD per year (Softline HQ)
