Principal Labor Relations Consultant - Hybrid
As an expert member of the HR team, the Principal Labor Relations Consultant (LRC) is responsible for serving as a strategic labor consultant to local HR and core leaders who are experiencing labor organizing activity. The role includes facilitating and recommending best practice approaches to labor and caregiver relations, adherence to HR policies, compliance with regulatory and policy requirements, and making recommendations for workplace environment improvement. A Principal LRC will provide seasoned expertise and technical knowledge to provide advice on regulatory and agency requirements, as well as all federal and state employment laws. The Principal LRC will also partner with field HR and the assigned attorney to provide subject matter expertise and strategic guidance on contract negotiations, contract administration and strike planning, to include serving as a strategic thought partner for local HR and core leaders on business initiative implementation in highly complex labor environments. Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic labor consultant to local HR and core leaders during labor organizing activity.
Facilitate and recommend best-practice approaches to labor and caregiver relations, HR policy adherence, regulatory compliance, and workplace environment improvement.
Provide seasoned expertise on regulatory and agency requirements, and on all federal and state employment laws.
Partner with field HR and the assigned attorney to advise on contract negotiations, contract administration, and strike planning.
Act as a strategic thought partner on business initiative implementation in highly complex labor environments.
Work in a hybrid arrangement with on-site expectation of 1–2 days per week.
Required Qualifications
8 years progressively responsible exempt-level HR experience serving as an HR Business Partner, HR Consultant, Labor Relations Consultant, or other related experience.
Consulting experience.
Multi-site/location, multi-line of business, and/or integrated health system experience.
Demonstrates advanced experience in labor relations.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
SPHR, PHR certificate upon hire.
