Summary The Senior Equipment Procurement Specialist represents LGESMI in leading strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiating complex contracts, and developing procurement policies related to equipment, construction, services, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) materials, excluding raw materials. This role is responsible for overseeing the full procurement lifecycle from sourcing strategy and supplier selection to contract execution, purchase order management, invoice reconciliation, and spend reporting. The Senior Specialist serves as a key partner to internal stakeholders, ensuring cost optimization, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and operational continuity.
Responsibilities
Lead supplier sourcing, evaluation, and selection for equipment, construction, and service-related purchases
Negotiate complex pricing structures, contracts, and commercial terms to ensure cost savings and risk mitigation
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives
Manage high-value and international procurement projects
Oversee and approve purchase orders (POs) and ensure compliance with company policies
Review and negotiate service agreements, construction contracts, and capital equipment purchases
Act as senior buyer for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) materials
Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and quality standards
Ensure timely invoice processing and payment coordination
Register, evaluate, and onboard new vendors in accordance with compliance standards
Generate and analyze monthly purchasing reports and spend data; identify cost‑saving opportunities
Provide procurement guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Partner cross‑functionally with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Finance, and Leadership teams
Maintain compliance with company policies and audit requirements
Maintain cleanliness at worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field required or relevant experience
Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or equivalent preferred
Strong knowledge of ERP systems and procurement modules
Experience
7+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management
Demonstrated experience negotiating high‑value contracts
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
Experience with capital equipment and construction procurement strongly preferred
Experience in international sourcing and supplier management
