WiscoLift, Inc, Greenville, WI, United States

Job Title Inside Sales Representative

Industry Overhead Material Handling (Cranes, Hoists, And Rigging)

Reports To President / Operations Manager / Production Manager

Role Overview The Inside Sales Representative is the technical specialist within our sales operation. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking parts, new equipment, and service solutions. This role is not just about “taking orders”; it’s about application recommendations, offering solutions, and consulting with customers to identify the right hoist, crane component, or rigging gear for their specific lifting challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales & Quoting: Process inquiries for overhead crane components, electric chain hoists, wire rope hoists, and rigging hardware; select the correct equipment based on capacity, span, duty cycle, and environment.

Parts Specialist: Identify and source replacement parts for major industry brands (e.g., Columbus McKinnon, Harrington, R&M, Detroit Hoist).

Customer Consultation: Provide expert advice regarding OSHA/ASME compliance and suggest proactive service or inspection programs.

Lead Management: Qualify inbound leads and coordinate with Outside Sales Managers to schedule site visits for complex, large‑scale crane installations.

Vendor Relations: Work closely with manufacturers to obtain pricing, lead times, and technical specifications.

Order Management: Oversee the lifecycle of an order from initial quote to shipment, ensuring clear communication regarding backorders or logistics.

Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years in industrial sales, preferably in material handling, construction, or heavy machinery industries.

Technical Aptitude: Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics; comfortable discussing “tons,” “feet per minute,” and “duty cycles.”

Software Proficiency: Experience with CRM software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).

Communication Style: Customer‑first attitude with the ability to explain complex mechanical products to procurement agents and maintenance technicians.

Detail‑Oriented: Precision is critical; a 1/2‑inch error in a hoist spec can lead to significant safety and financial risks.

What Sets You Apart: Direct experience with overhead crane terminology (bridge, trolley, runway, end truck) and knowledge of OSHA 1910.179 regulations regarding overhead and gantry cranes.

Why Join Us? We are a leader in keeping the wheels of industry turning. From manufacturing plants to shipyards, our equipment moves the world. We offer a fast‑paced environment where you are more than a number; you are a technical consultant helping our clients operate safely and efficiently.
