plans, and ensures growth in revenue, profitability, and market share. Is a key team member who assists in fostering the existing team relationship between all departments to ensure project success, and exceptional customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Strategy
Lead, mentor, and develop the crane sales team to provide industry leading solutions to customers. Develop and execute strategic sales plans focused on expanded market penetration. Establish annual sales goals, performance metrics, and territory strategies.
Customer Relationship & Quoting
Ensure timely responses to customer inquiries, RFQs, and service requests. Provide technical expertise on overhead cranes, hoists, below‑the‑hook lifting devices, runway systems, and automation solutions. Shadow Account Managers on customer site visits to assess needs, gather technical requirements, and deliver product recommendations.
Project Collaboration
Partner with Engineering Department to ensure successful project handoff and execution. Participate in kickoff meetings and provide clarity on customer expectations and technical requirements.
Market Development
Identify emerging trends, competitive activity, and new market opportunities. Develop strategies to expand the company’s footprint in key vertical markets.
Administrative Responsibilities
Review and approve quotes, pricing strategies, territory plans, and customer proposals. Prepare monthly sales forecasts, activity reports, and pipeline updates. Track sales KPIs and team performance results. Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer demonstrations. Maintain accurate CRM records, customer contacts, and sales documentation.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all recommended solutions meet OSHA, ANSI, and CMAA safety requirements. Promote a safety‑first culture when evaluating customer sites and developing equipment recommendations. Support internal teams in communicating safe installation and equipment usage practices. Authority to stop production in the event due to poor quality, unsafe parts or conditions appear.
Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.
Position Requirements:
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience in the crane or material‑handling industry considered.
Experience
5+ years in a leadership or sales management role preferred. 3+ years of sales experience in overhead cranes, hoists, industrial equipment, or heavy mechanical systems. Strong understanding of crane systems, lifting solutions, and industrial applications.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong negotiation, closing, and customer‑service abilities. Ability to read technical drawings and understand load calculations (preferred). Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office. Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Travel Requirements
Approximately 10-20% travel to customer sites, Bohl facilities, industry events, and job locations. Valid driver license
