An exciting job opportunity exists for a Benefits Analyst Retirement Plans to join our Benefits Team based in New York City. The Benefits Analyst Retirement Plans will be responsible for the administration of our retirement programs (401K and Defined Benefit) for active and former employees. This role involves ensuring compliance with plan documents, relevant regulations, and working closely with our Agency HR teams, Payroll, HRIS, Finance and external partners. Responsibilities

Plan Administration & Operations Support daily administration of the 401(k) Plan and monthly administration of the Cash Balance Plan. Reconcile 401(k) funding for bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls and monthly cash balance plan funding. Partner cross-functionally with Benefits (Health & Welfare), HR, Payroll, Finance, Accounts Payable, and Treasury to ensure accurate and timely plan operations. Vendor & Financial Management Collaborate with recordkeepers, vendors, and internal communications teams to develop and deliver retirement education programs, workshops, and materials. Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial and operational reports to key stakeholders. Participate in recurring vendor and internal partner meetings to support service delivery and issue resolution. Employee Support & Communication Provide guidance to employees on retirement plan topics including enrollment, eligibility, deferral changes, distributions, loans, hardship withdrawals, rollovers, and terminations. Respond to employee, HR, and vendor inquiries and escalations in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. Escalate complex or sensitive issues to the Benefits Manager Retirement Plans, as appropriate. Systems, Data & Process Improvement Analyze large datasets to validate accuracy and ensure data integrity across systems. Maintain and update procedural documentation while identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement. Perform updates in vendor systems to support accurate and compliant plan administration. Compliance & Audit Support Monitor regulatory and legislative changes affecting retirement plans. Ensure retirement plans are administered in accordance with plan documents, ERISA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Support annual plan audits, non-discrimination testing, and Form 5500 filings by coordinating documentation and working with external vendors and auditors. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum 3 5 years of experience supporting qualified retirement plans, including 401(k) and/or defined benefit or cash balance plans. Working knowledge of ERISA and regulatory requirements impacting retirement plans. Experience supporting audits, non-discrimination testing, and Form 5500 filings. Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with HR, Payroll, Finance, and external vendors. Technical & Analytical Skills Advanced Excel proficiency, including working with large datasets, pivot tables, and lookup functions. Experience using retirement plan recordkeeping and vendor systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. Communication & Professional Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain retirement plan concepts to diverse audiences. Customer-focused approach with experience handling employee inquiries and escalations confidentially and professionally. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented mindset. Additional Information

Compensation Range: $60,000$70,000 annually. This range reflects the Company's expected pay for this position at the time of posting. Consistent with applicable law, final compensation will be determined based on the applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as the requirements of the position. The Company reserves the right to adjust this pay range at any time. Benefits: Temporary roles may be eligible for participation in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party administrator once certain criteria are met. Temporary roles may also qualify for 401(k) participation after meeting eligibility requirements. Regular roles include medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), and paid time off.
