CB Partners is partnering with a growing organization in North Kansas City to hire a fully in‑office Sales Support Specialist. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys serving as the operational backbone of a sales team, and takes pride in delivering exceptional support to both customers and internal partners. What You’ll Do

Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email, escalating when needed.

Prepare proposals, process orders, and manage purchase orders accurately.

Maintain up‑to‑date customer and order information in internal systems.

Develop product knowledge to support customer and team questions.

Track vendor shipments, coordinate carriers, and prepare shipping documents.

Handle lost or damaged shipment claims.

Scan and organize supporting documents into the proper systems.

Run weekly open‑order reports and follow up as needed.

Assist with answering and directing calls.

Pack, ship, and document outgoing orders; assist with receiving deliveries.

Coordinate returns and communicate throughout the process.

Support Account Managers with costing, credits, and special shipping needs.

Maintain reliable onsite attendance and assist with other tasks as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

2+ years in a customer‑facing role (customer service, sales support, or similar)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong customer service mindset and ability to build relationships

High attention to detail with strong organizational skills

Proven ability to manage time and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills

Comfortable collaborating across teams

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Experience & Education

Required:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Preferred but not required:

Experience supporting sales teams or working in an operations‑heavy environment.
