
Construction Superintendent -Healthcare/ Medical

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site construction operations for healthcare and medical facility projects in the San Antonio area. This role provides direct oversight of field teams, enforces safety and quality standards, and ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily on-site construction activities for healthcare projects, including hospitals, clinics, medical office buildings (MOBs), renovations, and build-outs
Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, material deliveries, and jobsite logistics to maintain workflow and schedule adherence
Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, ensuring milestone deadlines are achieved
Enforce OSHA, company, and healthcare-specific safety standards, including infection control protocols (ICRA/ILSM)
Review construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs to ensure proper execution of design intent
Conduct daily site meetings, walkthroughs, and progress reporting to project stakeholders
Serve as the primary on-site liaison with Project Managers, owners, inspectors, and design teams
Identify potential issues or delays proactively and implement solutions to keep projects on track
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
Proven track record managing healthcare or medical construction projects
Strong knowledge of MEP systems and healthcare-specific safety/infection control practices (ICRA/ILSM preferred)
Ability to read, interpret, and apply construction drawings and specifications accurately
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Proficiency with project scheduling and construction management software
