We are seeking an experienced
Healthcare Construction Superintendent
to lead on-site operations for complex healthcare construction projects. This role is responsible for overseeing daily field activities, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget—while maintaining the highest standards required in active healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all on-site construction activities for healthcare projects (hospitals, medical centers, surgical facilities, clinics, etc.)
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field staff
Maintain project schedule and proactively address delays or challenges
Ensure strict compliance with healthcare regulations, life safety standards, and infection control requirements (ICRA)
Enforce OSHA and site-specific safety standards
Conduct regular site meetings and maintain clear communication with project managers, owners, and inspectors
Oversee quality control and ensure work meets contract documents and healthcare construction standards
Manage inspections, punch lists, and project closeout processes
Qualifications
5+ years of superintendent experience with a strong focus on healthcare construction
Experience working in active healthcare environments (renovations and new builds)
Strong understanding of ICRA, interim life safety measures (ILSM), and healthcare compliance requirements
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and schedules
Proven leadership skills and ability to drive projects to completion
OSHA certification preferred; healthcare-specific certifications are a plus
