Wholesale Operations Manager | Agriculture
A long-established, family-owned agribusiness is seeking a Wholesale Operations Manager to lead its wholesale division as part of a structured leadership transition.
This is a high-ownership role for a professional with an agriculture sales background who is comfortable making pricing decisions, defending margin, and being fully accountable for commercial results.
What You’ll Own
Wholesale pricing strategy and price sheet management
Forecasting and inventory planning in a margin-sensitive environment
Supplier and vendor relationships
Warehouse and system coordination (including EDI workflows)
Cross‑functional collaboration between wholesale and retail operations
You will operate with trust and discretion. Leadership alignment is expected, approval is not.
The Environment This is a volume‑driven, margin‑conscious business.
Success requires:
Comfort making decisions with incomplete information
Ability to defend margin
Professional handling of disagreement
Accountability for commercial outcomes
Ideal Background
Experience in wholesale, ag retail, or input distribution
Strong understanding of pricing structures and margin management
Detail‑oriented but commercially minded
