
Mortgage Documentation Specialist

Responsible for in-depth knowledge of the loan origination workflow, emphasizing its critical impact on the mortgage process by ensuring proper documentation is sent, signed, and retrieved in accordance with regulations and guidelines.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:15am-5pm
38-40 hours/week
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review and process new files submitted in LOS system for disclosure The role also involves preparing and executing closing disclosures and final documents for successful customer experiences. Monitor Alerts in the LOS and ensure initial, change of circumstance, and closing disclosures are completed in a timely manner. Maintain a current working knowledge of all government mortgage compliance regulations. Efficiently monitor, manage and maintain the pipeline. Monitor pipeline to complete initial disclosures, change of circumstances, and closing documents within regulatory timelines. Prepare disclosures and loan documentation in accordance with investor and regulatory guidelines and requirements. Collaborate with Lenders, Processors, and Vendors for successful customer experience. Follow company policies and legal requirements. Maintain a well-rounded understanding of current financial and market conditions, staying abreast of all industry related communications, retail lending guidelines and overlays related to conforming and non-agency loans, access to AllRegs, federal compliance regulations and timing. Preferred skills for the position include being detail-oriented, possessing strong verbal and written communication abilities, analytical thinking to interpret data with excellent organizational and time management skills. Process secondary market lock requests. Communicate lock-related policies to all applicable areas of sales and operations and provide product and pricing structuring and support This role also requires a strong 'out of the box' approach to things and a 'look at the big picture initiative. Any other duties as assigned. Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required. 1-3 years of mortgage processing or documentation experience. 1+ Years ICE Mortgage Technologies Encompass experience Experience with Pricing Engine Integrations, Mavent, MERS Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, Anti-Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT Act) and the requirements of the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Additionally, all employees must follow policies and procedures to minimize risk by exercising good judgment, raising questions to management, and adhering to policy guidelines.
