eCommerce Parts Specialist

Job Description The eCommerce Parts Catalog & Systems Specialist is responsible for the end‑to‑end setup, accuracy, and maintenance of service parts across Vertiv enterprise systems, including PD, PIM, Oracle EBS, and Shopify. This role ensures high‑quality part data, images, and lifecycle information flow seamlessly between systems to support a consistent, scalable, and customer‑friendly online ordering experience. The position partners closely with Engineering, IT, Parts, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support new part introductions, catalog integrity, and continuous improvement of eCommerce operations. This role can be remote or in‑office in Westerville, OH.

Responsibilities

Manage end‑to‑end service parts setup and maintenance across Vertiv systems, including PD, PIM, Oracle EBS, and Shopify.

Own and maintain the Shopify parts catalog, ensuring accuracy of part numbers, descriptions, images, attributes, pricing status, and availability.

Capture, process, and maintain product images in alignment with established photography and content standards to support consistent eCommerce experience.

Ensure required part data is captured upstream and flows correctly between systems to minimize manual updates and rework.

Maintain current and accurate online parts content, including lifecycle status, replacements, supersessions, and obsolescence information.

Support coordination with suppliers, LVO partners, and internal stakeholders related to parts content, readiness, and availability.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve gaps or inconsistencies in part data that impact online ordering or customer experience.

Partner with Engineering, Parts, IT, and Business teams to align on part setup requirements, system integrations, and process improvements.

Assist with ongoing catalog audits, data cleanup, and enhancements to improve accuracy, usability, and scalability.

Support new part introductions and updates to existing parts, ensuring timely and accurate deployment across all systems.

Help define, document, and maintain standard work and content requirements to enable scalable and repeatable eCommerce operations.

Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field).

Minimum one year of experience interacting with customers in a technical or field service environment.

At least one year of experience with Vertiv Thermal products, including parts data, catalogs, or product content.

Strong ability to interpret part specifications, electrical diagrams, piping drawings, and blueprints, and translate technical information into customer‑friendly content.

Experience working across multiple systems (e.g., Oracle PIM, ERP, PLM) and familiarity with eCommerce platforms such as Shopify.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and general web‑based technologies.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong customer service orientation.

Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and self‑motivated, with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Working knowledge of 3D modeling software such as CREO or Solid Edge is a plus.

Knowledge of legacy and current products.

Position Eligibility Requirements

10% travel may be required, work flexible schedules, and maintain valid driver’s license.
