The Manager of Total Rewards leads the design, administration, and continuous improvement of Northeast Arc's benefits, well-being, and leave programs. As the organization’s primary expert in health and welfare plans, retirement programs, and employee well-being initiatives, this role ensures our offerings remain accessible, competitive, and aligned with our commitment to supporting employees.
In addition to overseeing benefits, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping our compensation philosophy by developing pay structures and governance that promote consistency, equity, and transparency across the organization. The Manager of Total Rewards partners closely with leadership to ensure our total rewards programs enhance attraction, retention, and employee experience throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a cohesive total rewards framework that integrates benefits, well-being, recognition, and compensation
Oversee the full suite of employee benefits, including health and welfare plans, retirement programs, leave administration, and voluntary offerings
Develop communication strategies that help employees understand and maximize the value of their reward
Partner with leaders to ensure total rewards programs reinforce equity, transparency, and a positive employee experience
Evaluate plan performance, vendor service levels, and cost trends; recommend enhancements that support physical, emotional, financial, and career well-being
Manage relationships with brokers, consultants, and technology partners
Oversee and provide day to day guidance to the Leave and Benefits Coordinator
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, CCP) preferred
Five or more years of progressive experience in benefits, compensation, or total rewards. Demonstrated experience designing and managing benefits programs, including health and welfare plans, retirement programs, and leave administration
Experience developing compensation structures, job evaluation processes, or pay governance models.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to benefits, compensation and leave programs
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights and recommendationsStrong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and credibly
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Experience in human services, healthcare, or other mission-driven environments preferred
Experience with ICHRA plans preferred

Schedule The approximate pay range for this role $100,000 - $120,000 annually.
Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's experience, education, and internal equity.
