Director of Operations – New Plant Launch Location: Year 1: Rincon, GA (training & integration) Thereafter: New Plant Location (full-time onsite leadership) Reports To:

Senior Vice President

Position Summary The Director of Operations will lead the launch and operational scaling of a new transformer manufacturing facility following a one-year integration period at our Rincon, GA plant. This executive-level role is responsible for full operational oversight including production, manufacturing engineering, materials management, supply chain coordination, hiring and workforce development, facility management, safety, quality, shipping logistics (including heavy haul transport), and customer order execution. This is a hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced, custom-engineered manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings deep industrial manufacturing experience, strong operational discipline, and the ability to scale processes and teams during high-growth expansion.

Key Responsibilities Plant Launch & Operational Leadership Lead the transition from integration phase (Rincon) to full operational leadership at the new plant. Build and develop the plant leadership team and workforce structure. Establish production systems, operational controls, and performance standards from launch through scale.

Production & Manufacturing Execution Oversee production planning and execution to meet customer delivery commitments. Monitor plant loading, capacity planning, and schedule adherence. Drive productivity, throughput, and operational efficiency improvements. Ensure equipment reliability, preventative maintenance planning, and uptime performance.

Supply Chain & Materials Management Partner with supply chain and materials teams to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules. Monitor inventory levels and procurement strategies to support custom manufacturing requirements. Align plant operations with sales and project teams to ensure order execution readiness.

Workforce & Organizational Development Align staffing plans with production demand and growth projections. Lead hiring, training, and development of plant personnel. Ensure workforce engagement, accountability, and performance management. Build a strong plant culture focused on execution, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Safety, Quality & Process Control Ensure a safe work environment and strict adherence to safety standards. Oversee process assurance and quality control systems on the shop floor. Maintain disciplined housekeeping and plant organization standards. Implement and enforce operational process controls.

Logistics & Customer Delivery Oversee shipping operations including heavy haul logistics. Ensure shipping processes and controls maintain delivery reliability. Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure customer commitments are achieved.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred). 20+ years of progressive experience in industrial plant operations. Minimum 5+ years of senior management experience within assembly or heavy manufacturing environments. Proven experience launching, scaling, or significantly expanding plant operations. Experience in custom-engineered or made-to-order manufacturing environments strongly preferred. Strong leadership presence with the ability to build high-performance teams. xsgimln Deep understanding of operational metrics, plant KPIs, and manufacturing financial performance.
