Job Overview : The

HR Director

is responsible for leading the organization's human capital strategy and overseeing all core HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, payroll coordination, performance management, compliance, and organizational development. This role partners closely with executive leadership to align people strategy with business objectives and ensure a strong, compliant, and high-performing culture.

Key Responsibilities HR Strategy & Leadership

Develop and execute a comprehensive

human resources strategy

aligned with company goals and growth plans. Serve as a

strategic advisor

to the CEO and executive team on workforce planning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness. Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team, ensuring consistent HR practices across locations. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

Oversee recruitment strategy, hiring processes, and onboarding for all levels of the organization. Partner with department leaders to assess staffing needs, succession planning, and future workforce requirements. Ensure hiring practices support diversity, equity, and inclusion while meeting operational needs. Employee Relations & Performance Management

Establish and maintain positive employee relations, acting as a trusted escalation point for employee concerns. Oversee performance management frameworks, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution. Support leaders in driving accountability, engagement, and professional development. Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Oversight

Design and manage

compensation and benefits programs

that are competitive, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. Provide strategic oversight of payroll operations, including coordination with internal teams or external providers (PEO/payroll partners). Ensure salary structures, incentives, and benefits programs support retention and performance. Compliance, Policy & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with all applicable

federal, state, and local labor laws , including wage and hour regulations, OSHA, and employment standards. Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks. Lead HR audits, investigations, and risk-mitigation efforts. Culture, Engagement & Organizational Development

Champion company culture, values, and engagement initiatives. Lead change management efforts during growth, restructuring, or organizational transitions. Implement training, leadership development, and employee engagement programs.

Education, Experience & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred). 8-12+ years of progressive HR experience, with several years in a

senior or director-level role . Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and multi-state compliance. Proven ability to partner with executives and influence organizational strategy. High level of discretion, judgment, and leadership presence. Bilingual - English & Spanish required
