My client is a second generation, locally owned and operated general contractor based in the Greater Hartford area. They typically manage around 16 active projects at a time and are consistently looking to add skilled professionals to their growing team. Their work is primarily within the commercial and retail sectors, with projects up to $10M and an increasing focus on medical TI improvements. Approximately 85% of their business comes from repeat clients. They are deeply involved in the local community and place a strong emphasis on loyalty and a solid work ethic.
Job Description
The Traveling Superintendent - Retail and Commercial - New England responsibilities include:
Supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure project objectives are achieved. Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to maintain project schedules and budgets. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies on the construction site. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work. Coordinate and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process. Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, including clients and team members. Prepare and submit daily progress reports and project updates as required. Manage materials and resources efficiently to minimize waste and delays. 5+ years of Superintendent experience Experience working on retail and commercial projects up to $10M Willingness to travel from Maine to New Jersey Proficient in Procore or other construction related software Strong understanding of construction processes, safety protocols, and quality standards. Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and interact with clients effectively. What's on Offer

Base compensation up to $150k (depending on previous experience) Per diem - housing and food stipend provided Healthcare Plan 401(k) with match 3-4 weeks PTO
