My industry leading telecom client, a premier network infrastructure provider, is actively hiring a
Associate Sales Engineer
to join their growing team in North Dallas, TX.
Responsibilities
Support senior SEs in designing
DWDM and optical transport solutions
Assist in translating customer technical requirements into network designs
Participate in customer technical discussions and internal solution reviews
Help size and configure optical network components and services
Support development of demos and proof-of-concepts (POCs)
Provide technical input for proposals, pricing, and SOW documentation
Coordinate with engineering and product teams for solution validation
Continuously learn new optical platforms, tools, and automation technologies
Requirements
Strong foundational knowledge of DWDM, ROADM, fiber optics, attenuation, and dispersion
Basic understanding of link budget concepts and optical network design
Working knowledge of Layer 2/3 fundamentals (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, IP/MPLS concepts)
Familiarity with Network Management Systems and optical monitoring tools (preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
