About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Designer to join the Women’s Wovens team, with a strong emphasis on woven dresses and skirts. This individual contributor role is responsible for driving the technical design process from development through final fit, ensuring exceptional product quality, fit consistency, and cost efficiency while maintaining design integrity. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in garment construction, pattern making, and 3D tools, along with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate clear fit direction to global vendors and factories.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical design process from initial development through final fit approval.
Analyze garments and develop accurate fit specifications aligned with brand standards.
Evaluate samples for construction, fit, balance, and overall quality.
Create and maintain detailed technical specifications and grading standards.
Communicate clear and concise fit corrections and technical direction to vendors/factories.
Ensure garments meet established quality standards, manufacturer capabilities, and target cost requirements.
Partner cross-functionally with Design, Product Development, and Production teams to uphold design intent.
Make pattern and construction adjustments as needed to maintain fit consistency.
Monitor fit approval timelines and ensure timely execution of deliverables.
Provide guidance and mentorship to Assistant Technical Designers when applicable.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or equivalent industry experience.
5+ years of experience in Technical Design, with strong expertise in Women’s Wovens.
Specialized experience in woven dresses and skirts required.
Advanced knowledge of garment construction, fit evaluation, and grading.
Strong pattern making skills.
Proficiency in Optitex, CLO (CLO 3D), and Centric PLM preferred.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and vendor communication.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
