
Account Executive (Long Island City, Queens)

Job Summary
The Account Executive is a front-line, street sales role focused on opening new restaurant business, growing existing accounts and winning share in a highly competitive market. This role reports directly to the District Sales Manager and is ideal for someone who thrives on prospecting, competition and face to face selling in the restaurant environment.
What You’ll Do
Prospect daily to open new restaurant accounts (independent and regional chains)
Build a full territory through cold calls, drop ins, referrals and follow ups
Grow sales through menu placement, product penetration and consistent maintenance
Hit or exceed weekly activity goals and sales KPIs (new business, penetration and retention)
Manage your route with urgency. Own your schedule, targets and results
Develop strong relationships with chefs, owners and managers
Compete for business in a crowded market and win on service, product and execution
Communicate market feedback, competitive activity and opportunities to leadership
What You Bring To The Table
Restaurant experience (FOH, BOH, management of foodservice sales)
Proven street sales or hunter mentality
Comfortable with cold calling and rejection
Competitive, self motivated and accountableStrong communication and relationship building skills
Organized, disciplined and able to manage a fast moving territory
Valid driver’s license, daily travel required
Nice To Have
Prior foodservice or distribution sales experience
CRM experience and basic tech proficiency
College degree or equivalent real world experience
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50lbs
Frequent walking, standing and bending
Extensive local travel
