Full-time (FLSA Exempt)

Work Hours:

Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM,

Travel:

Up to 50%

Annual Salary:

$70,000 – $100,000 + Performance Bonus + Profit-based Bonus

Language:

English required (Spanish or Portuguese is a plus but not required)

Required Experience:

Approximately 5-10 years

A global trading company is seeking an experienced

Business Development & Account Manager

to expand its plastic resin export business across LATAM and ASEAN markets.

This role will lead new business development, distributor expansion, commercial negotiations, and strategic account management while driving profitable revenue growth.

If you have strong experience in plastic resins (PP / PE / PS / PET) and international trade, this is an excellent opportunity to help build and scale a global business platform.

Key Responsibilities Business Development & Market Expansion

Develop and expand plastic resin export markets across LATAM and ASEAN

Identify and secure new customers, distributors, and industry segments

Develop and execute regional go-to-market strategies

Manage the full commercial cycle from market development to revenue realization and payment collection

Achieve targets for revenue, volume, and gross margin

Strategic Relationship Management

Serve as the commercial lead for key accounts

Build strong partnerships with stakeholders across Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and Logistics teams

Market Intelligence & Business Planning

Analyze pricing trends, feedstock movements, competitor activities, and regional supply-demand dynamics

Provide insights to support pricing and business strategy decisions

Lead commercial negotiations to optimize pricing, contract terms, and margins

Manage Incoterms, payment terms, and credit risk exposure

Qualifications Education

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience

Minimum 10 years of B2B sales experience in plastic resins or petrochemicals

Strong understanding of plastic resin distribution channels (PP / PE / PS / PET)

Experience in international trade and export operations

Skills

Strong negotiation and commercial closing skills

Technical knowledge of resin processing and applications

Proficiency in MS Office

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Spanish or Portuguese language proficiency
