What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Investigate, secure, and analyze claim information to determine eligibility for disability benefits
Identify coverage rescindment needs by consulting with medical underwriting, legal, and other departments
Detect financial or medical discrepancies, securing additional documentation as necessary
Make and communicate decisions regarding disability approvals and issue correct benefits
Act as a liaison with underwriting, reinsurance carriers, and other stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3-5 years of disability claims processing experience, with at least 2 years of IDI-specific claims experience
Ability to understand and interpret claim evaluation materials, including medical and financial records
Experience recognizing and responding to potentially fraudulent activity and litigation
Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize critical objectives
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience acting as a liaison with private investigators and sales teams
Proven track record of improving team performance and processes
Strong customer insight and ability to address customer concerns effectively
Familiarity with contract language and legal correspondence
