Brief Description
Bobbitt is hiring a Marketing Specialist to join our current marketing team in our Cary, NC office. The Marketing Specialist supports the overall marketing efforts by creating and coordinating content across proposals, presentations, digital platforms, internal communications, and company events. The role focuses on developing RFQs, RFPs, presentation slide decks, and collateral marketing such as jobsite signage, photography, scheduling, and company swag. Strong communication, time‑management, and organizational skills are essential to plan and execute events and produce high‑quality deliverables under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow within the marketing profession.
Roles & Responsibilities
Uphold Bobbitt’s brand standards across all marketing deliverables.
Coordinate and create proposals, Statements of Qualifications, RFQs, and RFPs.
Develop shortlist presentation materials.
Create tailored brochures and project‑specific marketing collateral.
Plan, coordinate, and execute company and client‑facing events, including logistics, materials, and on‑site support.
Assist with website maintenance and drive consistent activity across social media platforms.
Maintain and update marketing content such as resumes and project descriptions across multiple divisions.
Assist with internal communications, including newsletters and employee/project announcements.
Manage the marketing library (employee photos, project imagery, stock photography).
Assist with email marketing campaigns and manage external communications.
Support the development of graphic design, messaging, and writing capabilities.
Provide optional support for employee photography and creative development.
Handle marketing research tasks and database queries.
Participate in interview prep sessions and contribute to project team readiness.
Attend client meetings, interviews, conferences, and related events.
Assist with social media engagement and provide timely responses to mentions and tags.
Follow all applicable laws, company policies, and directives from supervisors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Experience & Competencies
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
Detail‑oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Collaborative, positive attitude and support mentality.
Preferred Knowledge, Experience & Competencies
Familiarity with CRM, HubSpot, and content management systems.
Interest or experience in photography, design, or event planning.
Work Format This position requires team collaboration and presence at in‑person meetings and is best suited to a traditional work schedule. Occasional remote work is acceptable.
Travel Requirements Occasional travel (10–15%) to meetings and events, typically within a 150‑mile radius of the office, including visits to job site locations as needed for photography or milestone events.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to see well (naturally or with correction).
