Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Business Development Representative for a mission-driven nonprofit organization focused on community engagement. This role is hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) and is located in Downtown San Diego, California.

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Business Development Representative will drive inbound and outbound sales activity to support the organization’s training programs. This role manages inbound inquiries, warm leads, and proactive outreach to high-value target accounts, ensuring prospects move efficiently through the sales pipeline.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Generate leads for the organization’s training programs and services

Respond promptly to inbound training inquiries and manage warm leads

Conduct proactive outreach through cold calling, email campaigns, and social selling

Secure qualified discovery meetings for executive leadership

Maintain accurate CRM tracking and reporting of all sales activity

Represent the organization professionally at conferences, webinars, and public events

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree required

Demonstrated sales experience with a track record of relationship building

Self-directed with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Experience using CRM platforms

Comfortable working in values-based, inclusive, and mission-driven environments
