Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Order Processing Clerk to join our team. This role focuses on accurately processing, tracking, and fulfilling customer orders received through major retail and ecommerce partners. The ideal candidate ensures timely order entry, compliance with platform-specific requirements (especially Amazon's seller guidelines), and smooth coordination with warehouse/shipping teams to maintain high customer satisfaction and minimize errors or delays.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and review incoming orders from various channels, including retailer portals, Amazon Seller Central, email, and EDI.
Enter and verify order details (customer information, product SKUs, quantities, pricing, shipping instructions, and special requests) into the company's order management system.
Process Amazon-specific orders, ensuring adherence to Amazon's policies (FBA and SBA handling).
Coordinate with retailer partners to confirm order accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and handle any platform-specific requirements or restrictions.
Track order status from receipt through fulfillment, updating systems and communicating delays or issues to relevant teams and customers as needed.
Prepare necessary documentation, including packing slips, invoices, shipping labels, and Amazon-compliant returns/processing forms.
Monitor inventory levels in relation to incoming orders and flag potential stock issues to purchasing or warehouse teams.
Handle order modifications, cancellations, and returns in line with retailer and Amazon policies.
Maintain accurate records of all processed orders and generate basic reports on order volume, processing times, or error rates.
Provide support for customer inquiries related to order status, shipment tracking, and basic issue resolution.
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (associate's degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred).
1–2 years of experience in order processing, customer service, administrative support, or e-commerce fulfillment.
Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, retailer vendor portals (e.g., Walmart, Target, or similar), or e-commerce platforms is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order verification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
Basic understanding of shipping processes, carrier requirements, and inventory management.
Familiarity with INCOTERMS
Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle high-volume order processing in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills for interacting with internal teams, retailers, and customers.
Ability to work independently while meeting daily processing quotas and deadlines.
